Railways
Scott Wilson is a market leader in the provision of
multi-disciplinary services to the Railway sector, Groupwide
currently employing around 700 with revenue in excess of
£60m. Approximately 70% of our turnover is based on major
multi-functional projects. With seven UK offices, and the
first international base in Brisbane, Australia open from September
2007, our skills are such that we are able to undertake major
multi-disciplinary railway projects worldwide. We provide
consultancy services that cover all aspects of rail infrastructure
planning, design, project management, construction supervision and
rail maintenance.
Our range of services has grown to more than 20 disciplines
including civil and structural engineering, construction
management, environmental services, geotechnical services,
permanent way, project management, railway electrification and
power engineering, safety training, signalling and
telecommunications, track-bed investigations, tunnelling, railway
consultancy and operational modelling.
The Brisbane office has been set-up as a
fully-integrated engineering office focusing on core rail
disciplines of track, signalling, telecommunications and traction
power engineering. The core team also has significant
experience in rail operations and planning, railway systems and
safety engineering management. In addition the office
provides us with a base for supporting non-rail sectors in the
region particularly in the areas of ports, mining and the
environment.
Our unique strength is gained from a blend of
specialist multi-disciplinary railway engineering skills allowing
us to provide a truly integrated solution for our clients. To
support these skills Scott Wilson has developed effective working
relationships with strategic partners to enable us to offer further
specialist services as required. In addition we are able to
utilise the extensive breadth of planning, environment and
management expertise available from within the Scott Wilson
Group.
