Waste & Resource Management

The need to develop sustainable solutions for communities worldwide requires that maximum efficiency and value be gained in the handling of waste and resources. Scott Wilson has developed the wide range of skills and expertise necessary to provide a comprehensive consultancy service in this important area.

The Waste and Resources sub-sector has experienced significant growth over recent years as growing environmental awareness and increasing urban populations have made solid waste management one of the most pressing environmental challenges. The recognition worldwide of the ‘waste hierarchy’ (the need to reduce, re-use and recycle wastes before their ultimate disposal) and more onerous legislative requirements have combined to ensure waste and resources are managed in a way that protects human health and the wider environment.

Scott Wilson has over 20 years’ experience in waste and resource management with major private sector operators, regulators, local and national governments, funding agencies and non-government contractors both in the UK and internationally. The specialist teams within Scott Wilson have a thorough understanding of the sub-sector and can provide a multi-disciplinary service including resource efficiency, environmental assessment, pollution control, investigation and risk assessment, policy and strategy development, planning, engineering design, technology appraisal and integration, permitting, procurement, contract and construction management and due diligence.

Scott Wilson has developed a reputation based on innovation, quality and credibility from longstanding relationships with our clients and the communities in which we work.
